Avon Lake is a different kind of west-side community than its inland neighbor Avon, even though the names get confused constantly β theyβre separate cities, and this page is specifically about Avon Lake, sitting directly on the Lake Erie shoreline in Lorain County. The cityβs character is a mix: long-established neighborhoods near Lake Road, some with mature trees and older cottage-style homes dating back to when the area was a summer retreat for Clevelanders, alongside newer subdivisions further inland off Walker Road and Jaycox Road. That mix matters for tent rentals, because a shaded, mature lot near the lake presents different setup considerations than an open, newly graded yard a mile inland β and a one-size-fits-all approach doesnβt really work here.
CLE Bounce Houses has served Avon Lake families with bounce houses, water slides, and inflatables, and weβre expanding into high-peak tent rentals so the same households can handle the whole outdoor setup β shade, seating, and tables β through one local company instead of coordinating a tent vendor, a table rental, and a chair rental separately.
High-Peak Tent Packages for Avon Lake Events
We rent high-peak frame tents β tents with a peaked roofline rather than a flat one. The peak sheds rain more effectively than a flat-top tent, gives the setup a more finished look, and creates taller headroom inside, which matters once tables, a buffet line, or a gathering space are underneath. Frame tents donβt need a center support pole, so the whole footprint stays open β useful on an Avon Lake lot where you might be working around established landscaping, a fence line, or a patio rather than a wide-open new-construction yard.
20×20 High-Peak Tent Package β Our current package includes the 20×20 tent, 48 chairs, and 6 tables, or the tent alone. Pricing varies by size β see our Tent Packages page for current numbers. This is a common fit for a standard backyard gathering or a smaller event; ask our team to help match it to your guest count and yard layout.
20×30 High-Peak Tent Package β More coverage and a larger table-and-chair set, suited to bigger graduation parties, showers, or a backyard wedding thatβs outgrown a 20×20 footprint.
20×40 High-Peak Tent Package β Built for weddings, larger corporate functions, or community events that need real capacity under one roof.
Tables and chairs come bundled into these packages rather than being rented separately, so instead of piecing together quotes from a tent company, a table rental, and a chair rental at typical market rates, one company delivers and sets up all three together.
Seated capacity matches the chair counts in each package: 48 guests for the 20×20, 64 for the 20×30, and 96 for the 20×40; our 20×60 adds our largest footprint at 1,200 square feet of covered space. Tell us your expected headcount and how you plan to use the space β rows, round tables, or standing room β and weβll help you land on the right size.
Setup Considerations Near the Lake β Mature Lots, Wind, and Hard Surfaces
Two things come up more often in Avon Lake than in some of the newer-construction communities further inland. First, established lots near the shoreline and in older sections of the city often have mature trees, tighter side-yard clearances, or landscaping that needs to be worked around when planning where a tent goes β worth walking your yard and noting overhead branches, fence lines, and irrigation before requesting a quote. Second, being directly on Lake Erie means wind off the water is a real planning factor for any outdoor structure; anchoring and, where appropriate, side walls are worth discussing with our team for a lakefront or near-shore setup. As a general rule, we reserve the right to delay, modify, or cancel a setup for safety once sustained or gusting winds climb above roughly 20 mph, along with lightning, hail, or other dangerous conditions β a threshold thatβs worth keeping in mind for any Avon Lake property close to the open water.
Surface matters too. Whether your event is on grass, a paver patio, or a concrete driveway or pool deck, traditional stake-and-rope anchoring only works on open ground. We carry concrete blocks and water barrels as weighted anchor alternatives, along with side walls and lighting as add-ons, so a tent set up on a hard surface is often still workable without staking into pavers or concrete. Tell us your surface type β or types, if your property has a mix β when you request a quote.
Weβre continuing to add to our weighted-anchor inventory, so ask us about hard-surface setup when you request your quote β mention grass, pavers, concrete, or a mix, and weβll confirm whatβs available for your date and site.
Also worth building into your planning: tent setup isnβt a same-day rental like a bounce house. We typically deliver and set up 1β3 days before your event and return to take the tent down 1β3 days after. If youβre used to booking bounce houses with us for same-day windows, plan for a longer footprint on your calendar with a tent.
What Avon Lake Hosts Are Using Tents For
Backyard Parties & Family Milestones. Birthdays, retirement celebrations, and family reunions turn a backyard β whether itβs a mature lot near the lake or a newer yard inland β into real event space, with shade and cover that doesnβt depend on the forecast.
Graduation Open Houses. Late spring and early summer bring a steady run of graduation parties across Avon Lakeβs family-oriented neighborhoods, and a tent lets you host comfortably in your own yard rather than renting a hall, rain or shine.
Weddings & Showers Near the Shoreline. Backyard and small-venue weddings benefit from the taller, more finished look of a high-peak tent, especially with tables, side walls, and lighting added β a natural fit for a lakefront-adjacent celebration. See our dedicated wedding tent page for more on building out a full setup.
School, Community & Corporate Events. Larger tents also support school functions, community gatherings, and company events that move outdoors β see our school & community and corporate tent pages for more on those setups.
Planning Your Avon Lake Tent Rental
A few things worth thinking through before you request a quote:
- Space and clearance: Walk the area youβre considering and note mature trees, low branches, slope, fences, or utility lines β more common considerations on Avon Lakeβs established lots than on freshly graded new construction.
- Surface: Let us know if youβre working with grass, pavers, concrete, or a mix, since it changes how we anchor the tent.
- Proximity to the lake: If your event site is close to the shoreline, mention it β wind exposure can factor into anchoring and side-wall recommendations.
- Guest count and layout: Rows of tables, a buffet setup, open standing room, or a mix all affect which tent size makes sense.
- Timing: Setup typically happens a few days ahead of the event, not same-day, so build that into your planning if youβre coordinating other outdoor work in the same window.
Thereβs no minimum order for a tent rental, and we ask for at least 5 daysβ notice to book β though earlier is always better during peak season. You can request a quote online, or reach out by text or phone call to get your date on the calendar.

Avon Lake Tent Rental FAQs
What size tent do I need for my Avon Lake event?
Seated capacity follows the chairs included in each package: the 20×20 seats up to 48 guests, the 20×30 up to 64, and the 20×40 up to 96. The 20×60 is our largest at 1,200 square feet of covered space. If you are adding a buffet table, DJ, or dance floor, size up β or tell us your guest count when you request a quote and we will help you land on the right size.
What tent sizes are available?
Currently 20×20, 20×30, 20×40, and 20×60 high-peak tents, each available alone or as a package with matching tables and chairs.
How much space do I need in my yard?
Plan for about 5 feet of clearance on each side. A 20×20 tent, for example, needs a 25ft x 25ft area with roughly 20ft of overhead clearance β no low branches or power lines.
Do you deliver and set up tents in Avon Lake, Ohio?
Yes β Avon Lake is part of our regular tent delivery and setup area. We handle full setup and takedown, so this is not a drop-off or self-assembly rental. Tell us your address and event date when you request a quote and we will confirm the details for your property.
Is Avon Lake the same as Avon, Ohio?
No β they are separate cities. Avon Lake sits directly on the Lake Erie shoreline in Lorain County, while Avon is a neighboring but distinct inland community. We serve both, but this page is specifically about tent rentals in Avon Lake.
Does being close to Lake Erie affect the tent setup?
Wind exposure near the shoreline is a real factor we take into account for anchoring and side-wall recommendations on lakefront or near-shore properties. As a general policy, we reserve the right to delay, modify, or cancel a setup for safety once sustained or gusting winds exceed roughly 20 mph, along with lightning, hail, or other dangerous conditions. Mention your proximity to the lake when you request a quote so we can plan accordingly.
Can a tent be set up on a concrete patio, paver deck, or pool surround instead of grass?
Often, yes. We use concrete blocks and water barrels as weighted anchors on hard surfaces where stakes are not an option. This anchoring equipment is still being added to our inventory, so let us know your surface type when requesting a quote and we will confirm what is available for your date.
Do you need to know where utility lines are?
Yes β we stake tents into the ground, so we need to avoid buried irrigation, invisible dog fence, and utility lines. Let us know about anything underground when you book and we will plan the placement around it.
Can I rent tables and chairs without a tent?
No β tables and chairs are only available as part of a tent package, not as a standalone rental.
When is the tent set up and taken down relative to my event?
Tents are typically installed one to three days before the event and taken down one to three days after β not same-day setup like our bounce houses. See Planning Your Avon Lake Tent Rental above for the full window.
Whatβs your rain or weather policy for tents?
Our tent weather policy is separate from our bounce-house rain policy. Normal rain and heat are not grounds for cancellation or a refund, since a properly set-up tent is designed to handle both. We reserve the right to delay, modify, or cancel a setup for safety in severe weather β sustained winds or gusts above roughly 20 mph, lightning, hail, or other dangerous conditions β and a cancellation we initiate for those reasons carries no fee. If you cancel because ordinary rain is forecast, our standard cancellation policy applies instead.
Do you offer lighting or side walls?
Yes, both are available as add-ons β useful for evening events, or for extra wind, sun, and privacy coverage on an exposed lakefront lot.
How far in advance do I need to book?
We ask for at least 5 daysβ notice, with no minimum order required. See Planning Your Avon Lake Tent Rental above for how the season fills up.
How much does a tent rental in Avon Lake cost?
Pricing varies by tent size and whether you choose the tent alone or a package with tables and chairs. Each tent above links straight to its booking page, where you will always see current rates β or see our Tent Packages page. Request a quote with your date and guest count for exact pricing.
