Booking Around Ohio’s Graduation Season (May and June)
Graduation season in Northeast Ohio is compressed into a few intense weekends — mostly late May and early June, with a lot of overlap around Memorial Day weekend when multiple schools hold ceremonies within days of each other. That overlap is the main planning challenge: a large share of the area’s tents, tables, and chairs get requested for the exact same two or three Saturdays every year.

Framed against pricing everything separately — a tent rental, a table rental, and chair rentals from different vendors, or buying disposable folding tables and chairs outright — a bundled package is generally the simpler and more cost-effective route for a one-day (or one-weekend) party, since you’re coordinating one delivery instead of three.
Planning Your Setup Space — Yard, Driveway, and Access
Before you request a quote, it helps to walk your own yard with the party in mind:
- Flat, open footprint. Picture the tent size you’re considering laid out in your yard, plus a few feet of clearance on each side for stakes or anchors and for people to walk around it comfortably.
- Driveway or paved setup. Grass is our standard setup surface, but concrete, asphalt, and paver surfaces work too — ask us about hard-surface setup, since we anchor those with concrete blocks and/or water barrels instead of ground stakes. Side walls, lighting, and those anchoring add-ons open the door to setups on surfaces where ground stakes aren’t an option — this is worth asking about directly if your best space is a driveway or patio rather than lawn.
- Delivery access. Think through gates, side-yard width, overhead branches, and whether the crew can get equipment from the driveway or street to the setup spot without carrying it through the house.
- Utility awareness. Have a general sense of where any buried lines, septic components, or sprinkler heads are before setup, and mention anything unusual when you request your quote.
Weather Planning for Late Spring Parties
Late May and early June in Northeast Ohio can swing from a sunny 80-degree afternoon to a cold, windy downpour with very little warning — which is exactly the scenario a tent is meant to solve. That said, tent rentals are handled differently than our bounce house rentals when it comes to weather: the bounce house rain policy does not apply to tent bookings.
Normal rain and heat aren’t grounds for cancellation or a refund — a properly set-up tent still functions fine in both. We do reserve the right to delay, modify, or cancel a setup, at no cancellation fee, when safety is genuinely at risk — sustained or gusting winds around 20 mph or higher, lightning, hail, or similar dangerous conditions. If you’d rather cancel over an ordinary rain forecast, that’s handled under our standard, non-weather cancellation policy.
In general, a properly set-up tent is meant to be used in rain, and it’s the wind that matters more for outdoor event structures — so plan your layout with that in mind and ask about our specific weather policy when you book.
