Cleveland Heights is one of the more distinctive suburbs we work in β a dense, walkable, historically rich community built on a hillside just up from University Circle, where front-porch colonials, Tudors, and Arts and Crafts homes sit close together on streets that were platted for streetcars, not modern driveways. That combination β older housing stock, smaller or irregularly shaped lots, and a lot of homes with detached garages, alleys, or paved patios instead of wide-open backyards β changes how a tent rental actually gets planned here compared to a newer, larger-lot suburb further out. We deliver and set up tents throughout Cleveland Heights, including the neighborhoods around Cedar Fairmount, Cedar Lee, Coventry Village, and the streets bordering University Circle, and we’ve built our packages to work with the kind of properties this city actually has.
Picking the Right Tent Size
We currently offer four high-peak tent sizes, each available as a standalone tent rental or as a package that bundles in tables and chairs:
20Γ20 Tent / 20Γ20 Package β our most requested size for backyard graduation parties, milestone birthdays, and smaller receptions. The package includes 48 chairs and 6 tables. It’s a good fit for the kind of mid-size yard common in Cleveland Heights’ more traditional neighborhoods, and it’s proportional enough to fit on a driveway or patio if the yard itself is tight.
20Γ30 Tent / 20Γ30 Package β a step up for events that need more seated capacity or want room to spread out food, a DJ setup, or a dance floor alongside guest tables. Includes 64 chairs and 8 tables.
20Γ40 Tent / 20Γ40 Package β suited to bigger graduation open houses, wedding receptions, and community or organizational events that need to seat a larger group under one roof. Includes 96 chairs and 12 tables.
20Γ60 Tent / 20Γ60 Package β our largest option at 1,200 square feet of covered space, for the biggest receptions, community events, and gatherings that need the most room under a single tent. Available as a tent only or as a package with tables and chairs.
Seated capacity matches the chairs included in each package: 48 guests for the 20Γ20, 64 for the 20Γ30, and 96 for the 20Γ40. The 20Γ60 is our largest at 1,200 square feet of covered space.
Tables and chairs are only available as part of a package β we don’t rent tables or chairs on their own β so if you need seating, choose the package option rather than the tent-only listing. Every size is live for booking on the site β each tent above links straight to its own booking page, where you’ll always see current rates. We frame these packages as a straightforward comparison: renting the tent, tables, and chairs together from one vendor is typically simpler and more cost-effective than sourcing a tent from one company and tables/chairs from another, or buying disposable versions for a single event.
Setup in Cleveland Heights: Yards, Driveways, and Hardscape
Cleveland Heights properties don’t all set up the same way. A large, established lot in one of the city’s historic districts might have plenty of flat grass for staking. A home closer to Coventry or Cedar Lee, or a property with a detached garage and a narrow side yard, may have a paved patio, a driveway, or a small hardscaped courtyard as the only realistic footprint for a 20Γ20 or 20Γ30 tent. We plan around whichever version of “backyard” your property actually has.
Grass is the easiest surface for a traditional staked setup, but it’s far from the only option β we can accommodate concrete, asphalt, and paver surfaces using weighted anchoring instead of stakes, and we’re continuing to expand that equipment as we go. Ask us about hard-surface setup when you request a quote β broadly speaking, our anchoring options (below) are built to give hardscape-heavy properties a real path to a tent setup, not just grass lots.
A few things worth thinking through before you request a quote:
- Access width. Older streetcar-suburb driveways and side yards can be narrower than what a delivery crew is used to elsewhere. Let us know about gates, fences, or tight side-yard access when you reach out.
- Overhead clearance. Mature tree canopy is part of what makes Cleveland Heights’ streets attractive, but low branches near the setup area can affect tent placement β we’ll talk through it with you.
- Utility lines and permits. Underground utility lines and any local permitting rules are worth checking into before setup β if your event is on a shared or multi-family property, it’s worth checking with your property manager or the city before booking.
Anchoring Options When Stakes Aren’t an Option
Traditional tent setups use stakes driven into the ground, which works well on grass but isn’t possible on concrete, asphalt, pavers, or a hardscaped patio β all of which show up regularly on Cleveland Heights properties with limited or paved yard space. For those situations, we offer weighted anchoring using concrete blocks or water barrels instead of stakes, along with add-on side walls and lighting to finish out the space. We’re actively adding to this anchoring equipment, so if your property is mostly patio, driveway, or courtyard rather than open lawn, tell us when you request a quote and we’ll confirm what’s achievable for your space and date.
Events We Help With Near Cedar Fairmount, Cedar Lee, Coventry Village, and University Circle
Cleveland Heights hosts a wide range of event types, and our tents are built to flex across them:
- Wedding tent rentals for backyard ceremonies and receptions on the city’s larger historic lots
- Graduation party tent rentals for the open-house-style celebrations that fill Cleveland Heights driveways and yards every spring
- Backyard party tent rentals for birthdays, reunions, and other home gatherings
- School & community event tent rentals for events hosted by local schools, congregations, and community organizations
- Corporate event tent rentals for businesses and institutions in and around the University Circle corridor that need outdoor event space for staff or community gatherings
We keep this section short here because each event type has its own dedicated page with more detail β the short version is that if your Cleveland Heights event needs covered space, tables, and chairs, we can very likely help regardless of which category it falls into.
What to Expect: Delivery, Setup, and Takedown Timing
Tents are not a same-day setup-and-teardown rental. We typically deliver and set up 1β3 days before your event and return to take the tent down 1β3 days afterward, which gives us scheduling flexibility and gives you a finished space well before guests arrive. There’s no minimum order for a tent rental, and we ask for at least 5 days’ notice to book. You can request a quote online, or reach out by text or phone call, and we’ll walk you through timing for your date.
Note that our tent weather policy is separate from our bounce house weather policy β so don’t assume the two work the same way if you’ve rented an inflatable from us before. Normal rain and heat aren’t grounds for cancellation or a refund, since a properly set-up tent is designed to handle both. We reserve the right to delay, modify, or cancel a setup for safety in severe weather β sustained winds or gusts above roughly 20 mph, lightning, hail, or other dangerous conditions β and a cancellation we initiate for those reasons carries no fee. If you cancel because ordinary rain is forecast, our standard cancellation policy applies instead.

Cleveland Heights Tent Rental FAQs
What size tent do I need for my Cleveland Heights event?
Seated capacity follows the chairs included in each package: the 20×20 seats up to 48 guests, the 20×30 up to 64, and the 20×40 up to 96. The 20×60 is our largest at 1,200 square feet of covered space. If you are adding a buffet table, DJ, or dance floor, size up β or tell us your guest count when you request a quote and we will help you land on the right size.
What tent sizes are available?
Currently 20×20, 20×30, 20×40, and 20×60 high-peak tents, each available alone or as a package with matching tables and chairs.
How much space do I need in my yard?
Plan for about 5 feet of clearance on each side. A 20×20 tent, for example, needs a 25ft x 25ft area with roughly 20ft of overhead clearance β no low branches or power lines.
Do you deliver and set up tents in Cleveland Heights, Ohio?
Yes. We deliver and set up throughout Cleveland Heights, including the neighborhoods around Cedar Fairmount, Cedar Lee, Coventry Village, and the streets bordering University Circle. We handle full setup and takedown β this isn’t a drop-off/self-assembly rental.
Can a tent be set up on my driveway or a paved lot instead of grass?
Often yes β this comes up a lot here, given the older lots and hardscape. Standard setup uses ground stakes, and we use weighted anchors where stakes aren’t an option. See Anchoring Options When Stakes Aren’t an Option above for the full details.
Do you need to know where utility lines are?
Yes β we stake tents into the ground, so we need to avoid buried irrigation, invisible dog fence, and utility lines. Let us know about anything underground when you book, and we’ll plan the placement around it.
Can I rent tables and chairs without a tent?
No β tables and chairs are only available as part of a tent package, not as a standalone rental.
When is the tent set up and taken down relative to my event?
Tents are typically installed one to three days before the event and taken down one to three days after β not same-day setup like our bounce houses.
What’s your rain or weather policy for tents?
Our tent weather policy is separate from our bounce-house rain policy.
Do you offer lighting or side walls?
Yes, both are available as add-ons β useful for evening events or extra wind/sun/privacy coverage.
How far in advance do I need to book?
At least 5 days’ notice, with no minimum order required. See What to Expect: Delivery, Setup, and Takedown Timing above for the full details.
How much does a tent rental cost?
Pricing varies by tent size and whether you choose the tent alone or a package with tables and chairs. Each tent above links straight to its booking page, where you’ll always see current rates β or see our Tent Packages page. Request a quote with your date and guest count for exact pricing.
